Ascot Grandeur

Classic Upgrade for Grand Ascot Home

BRIEF

To blend the new extension seamlessly into the original fabric of this 1928 Ascot property and update the interior and exterior with modern luxury whilst retaining the original Spanish French style and charm. Extensions to the home included a main bedroom with ensuite and walk-in wardrobe, new kitchen, two additional bedrooms with ensuites, an outdoor entertaining area, a swimming pool, and a tennis court.

SOLUTION

New interior finishes included modern stone kitchen benchtops, a double dishwasher, two wine fridges and a butler’s kitchen.Original furniture pieces that have been in the client’s family since the early 1900s were restored and incorporated into the modern French design. We sourced beautiful fabrics from Turkey, France and the UK to create curtains, upholstered bedheads, throws, cushions and other soft furnishings.Exterior finishes including wrought iron gates, front door and stair balustrades were all handmade specifically for the home. Mahogany French doors, double-hung windows and mouldings to the entire façade were carefully matched to original images of the early home.
